AGWPJA stans for "Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalists Association". It is an ELITE group for WPJA members who won awards in WPJA contests.
It's sure very nice to feel... ELITE... sometimes!

BRAND...SPANKING NEW...BABY!!!
It is 3 o'clock in the morning and i am writing this post because we are so excited (Corrie is excited in her sleep) about our NEW WEBSITE!

It is a 100% flash awesome design with great music slideshows and tons of new, big amazing images which we are so proud of. The website is much more interactive with 3 separate ports of entry for Weddings, Portraits and our PHOTOBLOG which is a brand-new feature. We are super excited about the PHOTOBLOG because it will allow our clients to see a lot more recent weddings and portraits and will allow us to keep everybody up-to-date on all of the exciting new things we are up to. The website also has great information sections with tips and pricing which explains a lot of what we are all about and how we like to do things.
WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT!!!...and hope that you will too!

We wanted to thank the amazing team at BLUDOMAIN for their hard work and outstanding web design! But, first and foremost we want to thank all of our clients for the past 6 years that shared their life moments with us and allowed us to do what we really LOVE!

We have so many more things coming this year and we can't wait to share them with all of you. We will be creating posts with some great things that happened in 2006 to get you updated and fill some of the slower blog times during winter.

MAGGIE + MANI (MAY 20, 2006)

What an Awesome Couple!!!

They both live in Seattle, but because Maggie (so sweet and beautiful) is originally from here, they decided to have their wedding in Omaha.
They met each other for the first time in the park. We love to document this time because it's always such a tender and emotional moment. And then we had a whole hour to just walk around the park, play and take some amazing shots of them being in LOVE!

My strong advice to all of the couples out there that are about to get married:
"TAKE 1 HOUR OF YOUR WEDDING DAY TO TAKE PICTURES OF JUST TWO OF
YOU TOGETHER!!!" You will never regret it, our couples never do!

They had their short and sweet ceremony at the Garden of Zodiac in the Old Market and reception at THE LOFT. The amazing food was prepared by the great chef of LA BUVETTE and our good friend Paul Kulik...EXQUISITE!!! The music entertainment was provided by their friend-professional DJ who played an amazing mix of rap, soul and Arabic music (Mani is Iranian and what a great, funny and wild guy he is) which had the whole party going all night long... WILD STUFF!

Thank you guys for giving us the time and creative freedom that allowed us to truly capture the spirit of your special day!

WPJA 2005 WINTER CONTEST results were announced today and we won 3rd place in "Children" category! We are very excited and honored!

I would attribute this shot to a great desire to create something different and A LOT of luck. Hey, no risk... no bubbles, right!
WPJA (Wedding Photojournalists Association) is a great community of many very talented and some of the best photographers in the industry. It constantly raises standards for creative work and professional business practices and we are very proud to be selected members of this amazing group of people.
WPJA is also a great resource for brides because it publishes WEDPIX magazine online where you can find a lot of very useful articles to help you understand what photojournalism wedding photography is all about.
